It all takes place in an alternate 1948 after their own great war came to an end. Curses and the loch-ness monsters are not myths or superstitions there. Sacred grounds really are sacred and magic really did used to exist.

Lord Wales is from a respected and highly regarded aristocratic family. While space is being considered the new goal for humanity with the advent of rocketships, he resumed his work as an explorer showing the world that exploration isnt just amongst the stars.

Experience, however, taught him to be prepared for anything. Be it a living sarcophagus or a possessed statue, his trusty Dustinator Mark IV never leave his side.

While not a unique weapon in any way (for that time) he uses compounds different than the specifics to give it that extra punch to dispell whatever animates the guards or the obstacles that stand in the way of science, wisdom and discovery.
