Equine Inspirations

Few people realize how hard it is to come up with a new world.  Inspired or not.  But those little doodles are inspiration of the inspired, I guess.

These were done very early on, based on Mr Gann's original script, except for the last panel which is just me feeling inspired and wanting to show Nightfall's bone tattoos.

The flying shot and the other with the 3 sleeping under a tree is something that would have normally been shown had it not been that the original storyboard pass ended up at over 70 scenes.  Something impossible to tackle even in animatic form in the time allowed.

But there was a lot of thought and work put into this to make it its own world and universe despite having strong roots in other material.
