This is a little something that we found interesting. While the frames show nothing in the animatic, even in draft form I knew what I wanted to put there: A painting of Lauren's "Fausticorn" and Starswirl the Bearded.

I didnt get to paint them till much later (while taking a break from animation) But when I did, I made sure the were put in before my lovely wife started to paint the background itself.

So there you have the sketches, painted frames and the integrated finished piece. IT lacks a bit of post-production effects including the foals but I hope you like :D

Edit I didnt remember where I got the starswirl reference image from but the artist manifested himself, Give a huge ammount of pageviews to :iconaleximusprime: for inspiring this painting :la:

Can we get a blown up picture of the Fausticorn and Starswirl the Bearded when able? I'd especially like to have that Fausticorn as a desktop image! :D

That scene looks really nice with those paintings. Nice touch there.

It's not as big or as high-quality as you might think it is ^^;

But I'll probably do a few tweaks before a 'release' so to speak :)
