A little project of mine (yes, another) That I had the idea of doing with Kim at one point but decided it would be better as a standalone.

Technically, that would be MY ship... and by that I mean a ship that I would either command or serve on were I in a Star Trek universe (When Star trek Online hits, you can BET I'm getting it)

Class - Steamrunner Light Cruiser refit
Name - U.S.S. Arcadia
Registry - NCC - 83276

Type X phaser arrays
Deflector Shields
Ablative Armor over critical components
4 "tube" rapid fire torpedo bays (2 fore 2 aft)

This is a 3d model ripped off of ST: Armada 2 with a custom skin upon which I added some extra detail (both the skin and mesh) I could have redone the complete mesh, but in the end, it would probably have been as polyreduced as this model.. it's the only thing I'm good at doing. Plus now I'm sure I have the correct proportions ^^

EDIT Re-uploaded a new version of a better rendered/textured ship :) Huge one :)

Some people call it ugly, but compared to some others existing in the ST universe, it's actually quite decent and sleek :) to my opinion at least :)

A tremendous effort, and good on ya! I think that is a wicked design! My all-time fave ST ship design is the Enterprise NX-01, but this is right up there as well :D

NX-01 looks more like it could be an Akira prototype tho ^^; It looks more modern than the TOS Enterprise and that always struck me as odd.. even if they blame it on 'new special FX technology', it didnt quite register as 'First human craft'. It looks good, no doubts to that.. But I'll always have a soft spot for the Galaxy Class... though the Steamrunner really is a sleek underestimated underdog :)

Wow. Very cool design. It reminds me of old Miranda class starships when Kirk was the big man on the Star Trek movies.Can I join the crew? I don't mind being an ensign.

thanks :) Again, I didnt invent it.. but specs do say that it can keep a speed of Warp 9.7 for 12 hours :)
