I finally got off my little butt and redid what I didnt like from last year: My DA ID animated image. This is a 2:1 version of my Sphinx character ready to kick whatever flank gets between him and his marefriend.

That's how I should have made it at first, but now it's done!

No, I didnt extend his claws.. he keeps em as a nasty surprise to anything not taking him seriously. And THEN he starts using magic.. but as a last resort.

Simple yet unique character, easy to remember- awesome! This gif reminds me of those very old games like The Lion King I wa playing as a kid in 1996-97. ;_;

I did look at the SNES sprites of TLK before starting on this. But both cub and adult Simba had no real 'idle' animation other the looking around and moving the tail.

It did give me a good reference for the shading though. Even if I spent more time on the animation than the color palette
